stage one

We begin by researching your local zoning regulations and building codes to confirm that an ADU is allowed on your property. Work with a designer or architect to create a plan that fits your needs and complies with the city's requirements. At this stage, it's also important to establish a clear budget and project timeline.

stage two

Once your design is complete, we submit the plans to your local building department for review. After approval, we will receive the necessary permits for construction, which typically include building, electrical, and plumbing permits

stage three

Once we are ready to go, we start with preparing the site, which could involve grading, utility setup, or demolition if converting an existing structure. Then proceed with building the ADU’s foundation, framing, roofing, and exterior. Interior work follows, including plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, and finishes.

stage four

Throughout construction, we schedule inspections at required stages such as framing, plumbing, and electrical. After construction is complete, a final inspection will ensure everything meets code. Once approved, you’ll receive a certificate of occupancy, allowing you to use the ADU legally.
